National Quality Framework

Boosh operates under the National Quality Framework. This Framework aims to raise quality and drive continuous improvement and consistency in education and care services. This happens through legislation, a National Quality Standard, National Quality Rating,  Assessment Process and the setting up of a new national body called “The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority”. The National Quality Standard sets a new benchmark for the quality of education and care services. It is divided into 7 quality areas:

  1. Educational Program and Practise (e.g. our daily program, procedure, policies etc.)
  2. Children’s health and safety (e.g. our menu, out of bound areas, structured play)
  3. Physical Environment (e.g. logistics of the Centre, inside and outside play)
  4. Staffing arrangements (e.g. ratios, ‘Adequate Supervision’)
  5. Relationships with children
  6. Collaborative partnership with families and communities
  7. Leadership and service management

These areas aim to promote the safety, health and well-being of our children, a focus on achieving outcomes for children through high quality educational programs, families’ understanding of what distinguishes a quality service.

“My time, Our place” has been developed as part of this framework to assist educators to provide children with opportunities to enrich their well-being, maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in life
