Wear it Yellow Day – An Initiative of Children’s Ground

As part of Reconciliation Week this year, on Tuesday 1st June we will be encouraging our Booshies to wear a touch of yellow to raise funds for a First Nations organisation, Children’s Ground. The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2021 is ‘More than a word. Reconciliation takes action’. This theme encourages all Australians to take action, to achieve equality between First Nations and non-First Nations people.

As part of ‘Wear It Yellow Day’, we will be programming activities around Reconciliation Week and encouraging discussions about First Nations issues. Our educators will be participating and we encourage everyone to take part, wear a touch of yellow and please bring a gold coin donation. We will have a donation jar at the sign-in area throughout all of Reconciliation Week so don’t worry if you forget on the day! We are aiming to achieve a fundraising goal of $500 so please help us achieve our goal!
